1 Gallon Bluegrass Hand Sanitizer

Bluegrass Distillers started producing hand sanitizer in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and in accordance
with WHO Guidelines and FDA Guidance.

The base hand sanitizer is compounded using the World Health Organization (WHO) recommendation
of:
o a. Alcohol (ethanol) (80%, volume/volume (v/v);
o b. Glycerol (1.45% v/v);
o c. Hydrogen peroxide (0.125% v/v);
o d. Sterile distilled water or boiled cold water.

It is then denatured with Denatonium Benzoate. They use the preferred formula for denatured alcohol set forth at 27 CFR 21.76 Formula No. 40-B (to every 100
gallons of alcohol add one-sixteenth avoirdupois ounce of Denatonium Benzoate, 18 N.F.)
The antiseptic/hand sanitizer is a liquid and not a gel, as required by the formula.
